Gimcrack (adj)
djim-krak
Showy, but cheap or badly made.
I discovered a new word today so I’m sharing it with you. From Middle English gibecrake, a type of wood inlay, the word went on to describe all cheaply made knick-knacks and now means anything cheaply made but fanciful.
