By November 12, 2015Word of the Day

Ablute (v)

ab-loot

To wash (oneself, or a part of the body).

We were discussing this yesterday and I was surprised to discover how few people still use ablute nowadays. We use it all the time in our house.

Example sentences

“Have you finished in the bathroom as I need to ablute?”

“I have never known anyone take as long to ablute; he’s in there for hours!”
