Beautiful Boston Sidewalk Poems

By May 24, 2016Video

These beautiful Boston Sidewalk Poems are a collaboration between Boston’s  City Hall and Nonprofit organisation Mass Poetry. Called Raining poetry these gorgeous pieces of writing are only visible when the pavement is wet and includes works from Langston Hughes and Barbara Helfgott Hyett to name but two.

They are scattered throughout the city and are sadly (in my opinion) only temporary as the paint used is biodegradable and will wash away after around six weeks.

If you are lucky enough to live in Boston be sure to look down when it next rains, and take a photo or two so we who aren’t close enough to see them for ourselves can share in this beautiful thing that your city has done.
