7-year-old’s adventure stories about his cats published as picture books

Cats are the stars of a 7-year-old Welsh boy’s debut book.

Joseph Smith started telling stories about his cats in an attempt to help brighten up his and his family’s time during lockdown.

It started when Joseph would imagine what adventures his cats, Chester and Jeff, would get up to while he and his family were sleeping.

Joseph would then spend a whole afternoon making his family laugh with his fun-filled stories, and with help from his savvy mother, Emma, the little author wrote down his tales for prosperity.

They soon found an illustrator, Mariia Luzina, whose colourful artwork lent itself beautifully to the fun-filled adventures, and the book was printed by Zenith Print Group.

Joseph also now has his own website so he can tell us all about his debut book and, with help from his mum, share photos of the cheeky felines via Instagram.

Chester and Jeff ‘s Instagram account has nearly 800 followers and Joseph has hinted at another book about the cats coming soon.
