Generations of children have grown up reading the stories of Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, and their friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, and now Disney is taking us on a new adventure that will see a grown up Christopher Robin reunited with his childhood friends. Now middle-aged and living in London, Christopher has forgotten his former self as he struggles to support his family. Eager to help their old friend, Pooh and the gang enter Christopher’s world to remind him of the truly important things in life.
Disney has just released an extended sneak peak of the film, which looks wonderful.
Christopher Robin is directed by Marc Forster and stars Ewan McGregor as the titular character. Hayley Atwell plays his wife Evelyn, and Bronte Carmichael is his daughter Madeline. The film features Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.
The film is set to be released in cinemas on August 3.
