The British Book Awards shortlists have been announced for 2017, covering a large range of books and genres. The shortlists cover six categories with six selections in each category and this week we’ll be bringing you one category a day, allowing you to savour the entire shortlist.
From this year, the Bookseller will host the British Book Awards, and it’s meant a few changes that we think readers will appreciate.
Today we have the shortlist for Fiction Book of the Year, check back tomorrow for the Debut Book of the Year shortlist:
Each category winner will be decided by six panels of judges with a separate panel going on to choose the overall book of the year. The results will be revealed at an awards ceremony to be held at Grosvenor House in central London on 8th May and we’ll bring you those as soon as we have them.
