The Comedy Women in Print (CWIP) Prize was set up in 2019 by Helen Lederer and is a new literary prize celebrating humorous books written by female authors. The prize is now in its second year and this week, the longlist has been released. “#CWIP is overexcited to offer this year’s range of witty and original material. Due to content there may be a risk of laughter, enjoyment or very possibly peeing with abandon… here’s the #CWIP 2020 Published Novel longlist,” wrote CWIP on Twitter.
The longlist will now be whittled down to a shortlist which will be announced on 1st June and the overall winner is due to be revealed 14th September.
