Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was recently released and some fans have found themselves feeling a little perplexed given some of the revelations the film gives us about certain characters. Others also argued that the second film left a lot of big questions unanswered.

Those who still have lots of questions will be relieved to know that a third Fantastic Beasts movie is in the works and that J.K. Rowling recently took to Twitter to promise fans that all will be revealed.

When asked by a fan to describe the third film in three words, Rowling wrote: “Answers are given.”

If you’ve not yet seen the film then you may want to stop reading here, there are spoilers ahead! The film reveals that Credence Barebone is actually Aurelius Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledore’s brother. Some fans have noted that the revelation conflicts with the previously established timeline of the Harry Potter universe, and it’s also strange that such a brother had never been mentioned before but, if Rowling’s message is to be believed, she is apparently aware of all this.

The actor that played Aurelius, Ezra Miller, spoke about why we’d never heard of this brother before, saying: “She knows the mythology so well and I think she’s into confounding you for a moment and having a fan go, ‘Wait that can’t make sense!’ and then showing you how things you thought couldn’t make sense [do] make sense.”
