The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is one of the loveliest books set during World War Two. Written as an epistolary novel, the book is created as a selection of letters between struggling writer Juliet Ashton and a stranger on the other side of the Channel.
Last year it was announced that the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was to be made into a movie, and I for one cannot wait and only hope that it lives up to the expectation the book creates. The movie will be in cinemas on April 20th so not too long to wait now, starring Lily James in the lead role.
The first trailer has been released this week and so we get our first look at the movie adaptation. What do you think?
If you haven’t yet read the book, it’s well worth picking up. You can read a review of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society here, and with the movie released on 20th April, you still have time to read it before the movie is released.
