For Reading Addicts Reading Challenge 2022 – October

Once again this year we have decided on an inclusive challenge with three options, Easy, Hard, and Super Reader but this year’s monthly category will be “Read Through the Decades” and the alphabetical part will be by author’s name. Hopefully, this will mean that everyone can join in, whether you read one book a month or three or more!

September’s categories are:-

EASY – ALPHABETICAL CHALLENGE

Read a book by an author whose name begins with a J or a V.

Here are just a few suggestions for each letter.

Tayari Jones, Hannah Jewell, James Joyce, Rachel Joyce, Elton John, Marlon James, Shirley Jackson, Ruth Jones.

Glendy Vanderah, Kurt Vonnegut, Barbara Vine, Penny Vincenzi, Jules Verne, Salley Vickers, Sarah Vaughan, Lucy Vine.

HARD – MONTHLY CATEGORY CHALLENGE

Read a book published between 1990 and 1999.

Tara Road – Maeve Binchy

The Infinite Plan – Isabel Allende

The Poisonwood Bible – Barbara Kingsolver

Made in America – Bill Bryson

all about love – bell hooks

She’s Come Undone – Wally Lamb

There are also blogs for all the intervening years just use the search function on the website and put in the year you require.

SUPER READER – READ HARDER CHALLENGE

Read a book by an author whose name begins with a J or a V (or both) and read a book published between 1990 and 1999.

As in all our previous challenges, pick a book from our list, pop along to your local book shop or library, order something online or pick up something that’s already in your TBR pile.
