The book will always be better than the film (or TV series) but there are a few adaptations that either buck the trend or at least come very close to being as good as the books. HBO’s Game of Thrones is one of those shows and has gained a huge following. So much so that the TV series could no longer wait for legendary procrastinator G.R.R Martin to finish his epic Song of Ice and Fire saga and have decided to make it up as they go along.
