Personally the term Grammar Nazi irks me, no one would ever call a person who demanded that 2+2=4 a Maths Nazi so why should someone finding the incorrect use of language be called something so derogatory?
That said, I am not so much of a party pooper that I cannot laugh at myself when I become the quintessential Grammar Nazi, swearing at those people who mix homophones, grinding my teeth at ‘txt spk’ and crying for all those misplaced capital letters.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
In this sketch Mitchell and Webb take the need for grammatical correctness to extremes, and perhaps aren’t totally true to its definition in all points; surely mispronunciation isn’t a grammatical issue in the strictest sense of the word, or is it? Either way if you find yourself laughing uncontrollably at this sketch, then we have the perfect T-shirt for you.
Enjoy the sketch and order the shirt; you know you want to.
