Harry Potter Comes To Life Once More!

By October 25, 2017eReaders, Video

Ebooks are evolving! A special format within an ebook has been created allowing for animation and videos throughout your reading experience.

Amazon have developed Kindle In Motion to bring your ebooks to life. Animated elements and pieces of video as well as backgrounds add an extra dimension to the story.

The extra special elements brought to you by Amazon include:

  1. Animated illustrations– Playing on an endless loop much like a GIF.
  2. Animated book cover – Displayed as an animation both when you open the book in the Kindle app, and on the Amazon page.
  3. Video – Embedded in the content of a book.
  4. Custom page backgrounds.

Check out these newest elements below in the promotional video from Amazon. See Jim Kay’s stunning illustrations for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone brought to life!

As you can see from the video above, the animations absolutely give Jim Kay’s pictures an extra special dimension. They were beautiful illustrations without any animation but now they are moving across our pages they have become truly breathtaking.

If you are perhaps a little distracted by the animated elements after a while do not fear- they are easily toggled on or off, allowing the book to become just like any other ebook in your Kindle.

There are a few hundred Kindle books with Kindle in Motion in their titles, and more than twenty publications in the official Kindle in Motion store which can be accessed through Amazon.

As well as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, there are some great titles to choose from including: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Jules Verne’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and the classic The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame.

Come and see if your favourite titles are available in motion today with the links below!

I just found out about these a few months ago. Find it fascinating. I plan to get a Kindle in Motion book at some point to use on the Fire.
