Netflix has announced that ‘The Thursday Murder Club’, based on the bestselling novels by Richard Osman arrives on the streaming platform from 28th August 2025. Set in a retirement home where a group of unlikely amateur detectives have uncovered a murder case, these senior citizens aren’t taking retirement with the suggested rest and relaxation but are instead willing to risk their lives to solve the case.
This exciting adaption of Osman’s work will be directed by Chris Columbus, with a screenplay by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote. The cast features a star-studded line up including: Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant, and Ingrid Oliver.
