Our flashback feature is proving popular as every month we look back through five decades of literature marking 50 years of the present month. This month it’s June 2016 and so we have a book from each decade marking 50 years of June.

Sleeping Murder – Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie is as much loved today as she always was, and on 17th June she switched publisher to Harper Collins and released Sleeping Murder where Miss Marple turns ghost hunter to uncover the perfect crime in her final mystery.

Octopussy and The Living Daylights – Ian Fleming
On 23rd June 1966 the final James Bond short stories were published as Octopussy and The Living Daylights. Fleming, who created the 007 character died in 1964.
