We started at 1918, bringing you the bestselling books of the last one hundred years. We’ve had a bit of a pause, so sorry about that, I guess the pandemic is likely to appear on a blog like this in the future when we discuss the books of 2020. However, for now, we’re at 2012 so not long to go and here we have that year’s bestsellers.
2012 brought Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, Whitney Houston died in a hotel room, and Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban.
Among all that there were plenty of books published too. So here they are, the top selling books of 2012, and for the first time ever there aren’t ten in the list, plus other shocking revelations 😉
We’re also featuring some well known books that didn’t make the cut!
The Racketeers – John Grisham
The only other noteable release from 2012 is the English translation of Elena Ferrante’s My Brilliant Friend.
We’ll continue this series right through to 2018, keep an eye out for 2013, coming soon!
