It seems that every New Year now we’re bombarded with reading challenges to choose from, and we figured that if you can’t beat ‘em, you should join ‘em. We know that many of you commit to various challenges so we’ve tried to make the Cwts Club Reading Challenge 2016 as flexible as possible.
We’ve chosen a theme and each month you’ll be required to choose two books from the ‘Opposites’ theme we’re following.
We’re going to tie the reading challenge in with our Cwts Club reading club so we’ll be selecting our monthly reads according to the challenge. I’ve made it as printable as possible and here it is by month. There are two books a month, that’s 24 in the year, and because January is always a slump we’re starting with something simple and comforting to kick off the year.
January:
Reread a favourite
Read something chosen by someone else
February:
Read a book about love
Read a book about war
March:
Read an award winning novel
Read something that got slated
April:

Read a book with a female protagonist
June:

We hope that isn’t too challenging for you, and offers the scope for some reading out of your comfort zone and the chance to discover new authors and genres. From February onwards, books for our Cwts Club monthly reads will be chosen according to the book challenge.
