The Wellcome Prize is an annual literary award sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, celebrating the topics of health and medicine in literature. The 2017 twelve book longlist is revealed today, comprising a mixture of nonfiction, fiction, memoir and science.
This year’s judges are author Simon Baron-Cohen, author Gemma Cairney, author, Val McDermid, author Tim Lewens and radio editor Di Speirs. The shortlist will follow in March with the Wellcome Prize winner announced on 24th April. Here’s the longlist!
