Over the years increasing media has opened up, and this media has taken society’s focus away from books. Once reading was one of the few ways to learn information, pass the time, and entertain ourselves and then along came the wireless radio, drawing our attention slightly from the written word.
Fast-forward to 2016 and we’re bombarded by the radio, television, movies and the Internet and we’re receiving information from all angles. Why do we need to read when we can sit down and watch a movie?
Well, here’s why we must keep reading, said much better than I ever could. Ubiquitous assimilation!
