Paucity (noun)
paw-sit-ee
The presence of something in only small or insufficient quantities or amounts.
A word that is slowly disappearing from everyday usage and yet it is such a descriptively brilliant word, such a shame that it is becoming self fulfilling.

“Despite there being a cure for Malaria, there is a paucity of medicine in the most affected areas making it an almost epidemic disease..”
