Holophrastic (adj)

hol-oh-fras-tik

Single word sentence formation.

Specifically the infant stage at which language skills are limited to single word utterences. Also in linguistics;  tending to express in one word what would be expressed in several words in other languages.

Example sentences

“Oh she’s adorable, is she at the holophrastic stage yet?” (Said no one ever)

“The German language has a wonderful tendency towards the holophrastic; Torschlusspanik being a favourite of mine.”
