moo-chee
A loincloth made of animal tails or leather strips, worn in South Africa as part of traditional Zulu male dress, especially on ceremonial occasions.
Late 19th century. From Zulu umutsha, Xhosa umutya loin-covering. The some forms perhaps show alteration after -ie, -y.
