Rivulet (noun)
riv-yu-let
A small stream of water or another liquid.
Late 16th century alteration of obsolete riveret (from French, literally ‘small river’), perhaps suggested by Italian rivoletto, diminutive of rivolo, based on Latin rivus ‘stream’.
