Zeugma (noun)
z-oog-mah
A figure of speech in which a word applies to two others in different senses.
The use of one word to modify or govern two or more words when it is appropriate to only one of them or is appropriate to each but in a different way.
Example sentence
“’ John and his driving licence expired last week’ is the perfect example of a written zeugma.”
