We love finding out about you, your reading habits, your likes and dislikes and it seems you enjoy telling us about them too. Our Poll Questions over on our Facebook page are always very well received and the answers we get are often surprising and fascinating.
We asked you which (specifically named) fantasy creature you would like seen brought to life. These are your top twenty.

Dobby that dear sweet, slightly wrong House Elf tops our poll; I wonder how many of us would want a free Dobby and how many would keep him in servitude?
Saphira, Eragon‘s beautiful blue dragon is your second choice, in fact dragons in general were hugely popular and would have probably topped our poll but as we’d asked for a specific creature, Saphira is our top dragon representative.

The Harry Potter series makes a second appearance in our poll with 11 of you wanting your very own Fawkes the Phoenix.
Falkor, the wonderful wish dragon that carried Atreyu to his destiny and helped Bastion scare his bullies is in fourth place.
Most of us probably met Falkor in the film version of The Neverending Story, as I for one didn’t know until recently that it had been based on a German novel written by Michael Ende.

Another dragon next, although a slightly more fearsome example; Smaug ‘a most specially greedy, strong and wicked worm’ makes his appearance in Tolkien’s The Hobbit.
My personal favourite next, Oy the Billybumbler from Stephen King’s fantasy epic The Dark Tower. Described as a cross between a dog, a cat and a raccoon and cute as a button I’d love one by my side.

Here’s a third representative from the Harry Potter series; Buckbeak the Hippogriff is a favourite for 7 of you.
Roaring into eighth place (sorry) is Aslan, the fabled lion of Narnia.

Our third dragon is Ruth, a white dragon from the The Dragonriders of Pern novels and Lord Jaxom’s mount.
And the last of our featured mythical beings is Wonderland’s very own Cheshire Cat.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland US
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland UK

The next ten most wanted mythical beings, in the order of nomination are:
Luggage – Discworld Series
Thestral – Harry Potter
Calcifer – Howl’s Moving Castle
Jabberwocky – Through The Looking Glass
Hedwig – Harry Potter
Toothless – How to Train Your Dragon
Rincewind – Discworld
Mr Tumnus – Chronicles of Narnia
Wolf – The Talisman
Morla – Neverending Story
Can you imagine a world filled with these amazing creatures? People flying to work on the backs of dragons, owls bringing the post and House Elves making sure your dinner was ready for when you got home?
Heavenly.
