From 12th to 19th November it’s Transgender Awareness Week and with some governments pushing back against the trans movement and trying to lock down gender in laws, it’s never been so important to be a trans ally!
With that in mine, we’re suggesting some books for children today, all with a transgender theme. These books are designed to help understanding, in a kind and simple way and all come highly recommended.

From the real life story of Jazz Jennings, a transgender child who became a spokesperson for trans kids everywhere.

A story about a girl who realises she’s a boy, dealing with the adversity and the support he receives along the way.

It’s not just trans kids who fail to conform to gender expectations. This is the heartwarming story of Jacob, who wants to wear a dress to school.

Follow Phoenix and her favourite purple dress to school where she deals with gender conformity, makes some friends and stands up for herself along the way.

Available for pre-order now, Boyne’s latest book follows Sam and the transition of the brother he adores into Jessica.
