First Trailer for The Goldfinch Adaptation is Here

It’s a full eighteen months since we brought you the news that The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt was getting a movie adaptation, with Ansel Elgort starring and it finally looks as though the project is coming to fruition.

The Pulitzer Prize winning novel about loss, survival and what it means to let go is loved by critics and spent over thirty weeks on the New York Times bestseller list upon its launch in 2013.

This week, the first trailer was launched for the movie, here it is:

As you can see the trailer is an absolute masterpiece and you can almost taste the Academy Awards that are sure to follow. The true test of course will be the readers’ response and how it holds up to the original book.

The release date in September 13th so you don’t have long to wait now, but still enough time to read the book before you watch what promises to be an excellent adaptation!
