To be or not to be? What was the Question?

By October 16, 2016Video

To be or not to be? Perhaps one of the most famous lines from one of the most famous plays from probably the most famous playwright in history. Shakespeare’s Hamlet has been played by some of the most well known and well respected thespians and each brings their own unique slant to the part but surely the words being those written by the Bard himself always remain the same.

Well yes they do, but what of the inflection placed upon them by the actor? Does the question mean the same thing no matter where the emphasis is placed? Watch this wonderful sketch from BBC’s Shakespeare Live that features some amazing actors and decide who has it right.
