Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers!
We hope you have a fantastic day, and mostly remember what it’s all about. Earlier on I stumbled across this William S. Burrroughs’ Thanksgiving Prayer where he gives thanks in the way that only this genius junkie can.
Filmed in 1986, it’s caustic and could cause offence so watch with caution as the Naked Lunch author sums up Thanksgiving in his unique, cynical style giving thanks for the more negative aspects of American society.
It’s thirty years now since the prayer was filmed and it really has never felt more appropriate than this year.
