Gloaming (noun) (literary)
glow-ming
(the gloaming) Twilight: Dusk.
I first encountered ‘The Gloaming’ reading a novel by an author from the Forest of Dean, here in the UK. It’s simply wonderful, and anyone who knows the area will surely agree that it deserves such poetic language.
(Germanic, related to glow)
