3rd March, World Book Day (UK)
I genuinely had no idea that the UK and US had separate days for World Book Day! We’ll try and remember you in April, America but for today we have just celebrated World Book Day in the UK and Ireland at least. Thanks to everyone who sent me photos or both your own dressing up endeavours and the children’s. I’ve selected a few of my favourites to feature in this blog!
For the sake of privacy and online awareness, no children are named only the character.
Fans of Julia Donaldson
These brothers are clearly fans of Julia Donaldson books, as big brother is the Dragon from Room on the Broom and little brother is The Gruffalo’s Child. Aren’t they adorable?
As Mad as a Hatter!
FRA regular, Heather showing us that WBD isn’t just for children as she gets all dressed up as the Mad Hatter. Love this one!
Go Lightly this WBD
Here’s Heather again, looking amazingly glamorous as Holly Golightly!
Hetty Feather!
If you’re also a fan of Jacqueline Wilson then you’ll know that this adorable little one is Hetty Feather!
An Adorable Little Monkey
Showing that you’re never too young to love books is this Little Monkey, yet another fan of Julia Donaldson!
Because Manga is reading too!
Especially for teenager! Here’s England from the Manga series Hetalia.
If you’re in the US then World Book Day isn’t until April, but don’t worry we’ll do it all over again then and you can send us your submissions for another feature blog.
