King recently published his latest book, The Institute and It: Chapter Two is currently in cinemas and is enjoy a strong response from both critics and fans alike. As if that wasn’t enough, several new cast members have been announced for the upcoming CBS adaptation of The Stand, including Alexander Skarsgård as antagonist Randall Flagg.

The adaptation will consist of ten episodes and King himself has written the finale. The show will include parts of the story which were omitted from the original printing of the novel. If the name Skarsgård seems familiar to you then it may be because Alexander’s brother, Bill Skarsgård, played the demonic clown Pennywise in the recent It films. A release date for the upcoming show is yet to be confirmed but it is expected to air sometime next year.
